The Klostertal, where rugged peaks and steep valley sides accompany you from the foot of the Arlberg to the Alpine town of Bludenz, is a wild, fascinating valley. Nature is intense and unspoiled - especially in combination with the omnipresent element of water.

Rainy westerly winds fill the valley with gorges, streams, waterfalls and mountain lakes, which provide refreshment, especially in summer. Water is at the heart of the Klostertal: from the legendary Formarinsee lake to the impressive Mason waterfall and the Alfenz Kneipp and relaxation garden. There is also plenty of ways for families to explore alpine waters at Bärenland Sonnenkopf - a charming pond  In these places, you can experience the power of nature up close - whether it's swimming, Kneipp therapy or relaxing on the tranquil banks.

But winter in the Klostertal also leaves lasting impressions. Walks along the Alfenz and sunny days in the Sonnenkopf natural snow ski area provide relaxing and eventful moments. The wintry mountain world is also accessible to pedestrians on groomed tours such as the Muttjöchle.

... and if that's not enough: Austria's largest ski area - Ski Arlberg - is almost at your feet. From Klostertal, you can easily reach the entrance in Stuben by ski bus.
